Great Granola

Granola—so many ways to make it. This is a mixture of recipes. I tried to copy the ingredients that were included in some granola we ate in Wisconsin…mine didn’t come out as sweet as that one, but it’s still tasty.

  • Sunflower seeds
  • Chopped walnuts
  • Pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
  • Pecans
  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Sesame seeds
  • Shredded coconut
  • Raisins
  • Dried cranberries
  •  3 cups Rolled oats
  • Salt
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

In a bowl, combine 2 cups of the nuts/seeds/coconut in whatever ratio you like. Add a dash of salt. Add the syrup or honey. Mix well. Spread over aluminum foil that has been sprayed with Pam on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until browned. Watch it carefully!
