This is a very easy (and vegetarian) lunch or dinner. You can add whatever meat you want to it.
- 1 whole wheat pita
- 1/4 cup shredded mozarella cheese
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- Fresh basil
- White mushrooms, sliced
Bake pita in the oven at 450F for 7 minutes until it gets crispy. Remove the pita from the oven and top with the pizza sauce, cheese, basil, and mushrooms, in that order. Bake for another 7 minutes.
Calorie count: 250 or so (Depending on the type of pizza sauce you use and the kind of pita you buy. Also, if you want to reduce the calorie count, go easy on the cheese–it’s easy to exceed those 80 calories per 1/4 cup!)
